State-of-the-Art Equipment
Our clinic prides itself in being at the cutting edge of technology. Our equipment allows us to make reliable diagnoses.
Digital Refractometer
This device measures the strength of the eye and helps the Optometrist diagnose refractive problems such as hyperopia, myopia or astigmatism.
Digital Keratometer
This device measures the curvature of the anterior corneal surface. It allows for proper adjustment of contact lenses and detection of corneal diseases such as keratoconus.
3D OCT-1 Maestro
An OCT exam can aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of serious eye diseases, it gives a 3-D evaluation of the structures of the eyes mainly the retina and optic nerves but we can also evaluate the anterior segment of the eyes.
This device scans and photographs the external and internal parts of the eye. The images are then compared from year to year in order to detect and track multiple ocular conditions (glaucoma, macular degeneration) as well as any complications caused by diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and multiple sclerosis (MS).
Field of Vision: Zeiss and FDT by Humphrey
These devices help us assess your field of vision in various ways in order to gain additional information on the health of your eyes. They also help us detect glaucoma and macular degeneration as well as certain neurological diseases.
Digital and Applanation Tonometer
These devices help us measure the intraocular pressure of the eye in order to better detect and monitor glaucoma, trauma cases or medical treatments.
Pachymeter
This device measures the thickness of the cornea to determine intraocular pressure more accurately and, along with other measurements, allows us to better determine a patient’s eligibility for laser refractive surgery.
Direct or Indirect Binocular Ophthalmoscopes
These devices are used to provide sharper and larger images of the inside of the eye to help detect problems of the retina or optic nerve.
Slit Lamp Biomicroscope
This device magnifies the parts of the eye being examined in order to view its external and internal parts and help detect and track various eye diseases.
Mr Orange Edger
This device helps achieve the highest precision edging of ophthalmic lenses. By performing this task on-site, we are able to complete your glasses more rapidly and it allows us to edge personalized lenses for you to use in any frame you choose without having to send them out to be completed.
